A Pensacola student who sparked controversy Tuesday by wearing a Confederate uniform to the site of a violent clash between white nationalists and counterprotesters has been kicked out of Pensacola Christian College, according to a North Carolina media outlet.
WXII News 12 reported that Allen Armentrout, who reportedly splits time living in Pensacola and North Carolina, learned Thursday that PCC staff had decided to terminate his enrollment.
"I have been released from my school and will be unable to return to college to finish my senior year," Armentrout told the TV station. "I'm processing this and making adjustments to my life to compensate for this scrutiny."

(22,124 posts)he should have known already how insensitive and idiotic it would be to wear the uniform at that time...
there are plenty of civil war re-enactments that occur on a fairly regular basis that he could have worn the uniform, but instead, he chose to join neo-nasties and white nasties in their protests/rampage through Charlottesville...
Obviously, a waste of money for his schooling...

(82,849 posts)There's a photo circulating of a guy in a confederate uniform getting the double bird from a righteously pissed-off woman, looking a little forlorn. It's not 100% clear from the PNJ article, but I think Allen Armentrout is that guy.

(1,967 posts)believe in white supremacy. Remember that in the 1960s it was the police who brutalized civil rights demonstrators and allowed the KKK to murder blacks and civil rights workers.
The police have not changed much.
