CNN forecast for Victoria Texas: 52.04 inches total rainfall

I really really really hope this is wrong. Stay safe everyone! I'll go look at NHC and see what they say also.

400 PM CDT Fri Aug 25 2017 RAINFALL: Harvey is expected to produce total rain accumulations of
15 to 30 inches and isolated maximum amounts of 40 inches over the
middle and upper Texas coast through next Wednesday. During the same
time period Harvey is expected to produce total rain accumulations
of 5 to 15 inches in far south Texas and the Texas Hill Country over
through southwest and central Louisiana. Rainfall of this magnitude
will cause catastrophic and life-threatening flooding.

Not as dire. I wonder where CNN gets their info.

They are probably wrong. I don't think anyone is going to have a heart attack because of my title. Relax. The body tells the rest of the story.

Often these maps change from forecast to forecast.
Victoria was probably selected because they are estimating the storm may stall over that area.

Yesterday, Columbus TX was going to 60 inches. These things often change. The importance is the overall effect. The coastal areas from Corpus to Houston can expect about 3 feet. Then, the deluge will move to Louisiana.

We were supposed to get 12-24 inches. I think we will get several inches.

People aren't realizing how bad this is going to be- This could easily become the most expensive hurricane in American history.
