The reason why republicans will not impeach and remove trump.

They might vote to impeach and remove if they feared the average non-nazi voters, you know normal people might replace them in office with a Democratic candidate.

But thanks to gerrymandering the republicans control the seats. So now they have to appeal to the nazis, the birthers, the ignorant haters, sexists, science deniers, evangelicals....

The seats are going to republicans no matter what happens. Unfortunately the party is controlled by threats to primary officials with more and more regressive and evil candidates.

There are enough republicans who would vote for impeachment and removal but they know if they vote for it they'll be replaced by rwnj's who hold more and more fascistic views. The republicans who are not racists and fascists are hostage to nazis, racists who will replace them.

We've seen limited recent bravery from McCain who is the only republican not concerned with a primary challenger because he knows the odds are he'll be dead by the next election.

They do not love the Constitution or this country. They love their job, the power and the money that come with it.

Failure to fight gerrymandering and voter's rights is coming around to bite us and damn us to what we see today and can expect tomorrow.

These rethuglicans of which you write are not part of a racist authoritarian regime to save us from a racist authoritarian regime. They are complicit in all of this.

These Nazi sympathizers can bring up bills which undo the gerrymandering they are so vehemently against. Do they do that? No. Not because they are afraid but because they are greedy.

These white supremacists can campaign against the hatred they secretly despise. Instead they march lock stop with the agenda.

I am referring to local state and national republicans, all republicans are complicit. If they are so afraid as to be rendered useless than this country is doomed. What I think is more likely is republicans like white supremacy, corporate oligarchical policies and fear mongering.

We outnumber them even in some gerrymandered areas. But it doesn't mean anything when WE don't vote.

Those are the people I don't understand. Half the people can watch what is going on and have no opinion about who they'd rather have running the place? If they have no opinion, I don't think they should be able to operate machinery or have sharp objects.

And ONLY one thing:

If, even after all their electoral manipulation and fraud, there is such a welling up of resentment against them that they see a strong chance they will suffer a definitive loss of control of both houses of Congress in the 2018 midterms, THEN they will consider impeachment and removal. Jaywalking would be sufficiently serious a charge to set it in motion, although I don't think it would get that far. Trump's ego wouldn't go for that. His "doctor" would recommend he resign for health reasons, which he would do "with great sadness, and love for the great American people that entrusted the presidency to him," etc etc etc.

If the Republicans don't see any danger that they would lose their congressional majority, Trump could drive into the next anti-fascist demonstration himself and kill ten women, and Ryan's House wouldn't impeach him. Ryan wouldn't recommend so much as a reprimand. He MIGHT go for a one month suspension of Trump's driver's license, and drop it when he finds out that Trump doesn't even have one.
