Paul Begala says Trump pardoning the sheriff is msg to cohorts about Russia...

The pardon is about Russia, Begala said. It's a message to his partners in crime that he will reward loyalty (keeping their mouths shut).

But I wonder...if it were me, would I rather rely on Trump being loyal to me, or cutting a deal with the Special Counsel? Which one is more likely to reneg on the deal? I know which one I'd go with.

Mueller will simply continue climbing up the ladder until there are no more people that can be pardoned. Congress will then need to decide if they want a criminal in the White House.
