The Irony of Houston for the Republicans...

They are going to need that "administrative state" like never before for the Harvey recovery. FEMA, EPA, various departments under HHS, the SBA and on and on...

If they keep gutting these Agencies, Houston will be the end of the GOP's hopes to hold on in 2018.

Otherwise Fox Entertainment will tell them all ills are democrat ills and everything good comes from the GOP.

And we'll be stuck fighting tooth and nail not to lose seats in 2018.

I see my wife's conservative family rolling out the talking points on Facebook

'HEB and the salvation army are doing more to help than FEMA'
'the government isn't doing the rescues it was volunteers'

This plus calling for looters to be shot

The Federal Agencies could work like clockwork and still recovery will be excruciatingly slow. If the Administration keeps hobbling the Agencies like they want to do, it will be a nightmare.
