To evacuate that many people, who could only travel in ONE direction to escape impending disaster?

Seriously. How long?

Thinking of that makes me think of those freeway interchanges in Houston under 30-40 feet of water. They would not have had a chance.

It's not just Houston, it's all of the costal cities that were evacuating that had to use those very same roads to get out.

A physical impossibility.
