"Il" is the singular article ("the&quot
"castrati" is the plural of "castrato"
article needs to match (plural form of) noun.
unless they mean there is only one castrato among them

The castrati had the loudest most powerful singing voices ever. I think congressional Republicans are weak, non-voices who do what they will and try not to be heard doing it. Castrati were hero commanders of the opera stage revered by royalty and common people alike. Repugs... not so much.
