Texas native, St. Louis Cardinal infielder, announced he would donate $10,000 for every home run he hits for the rest of the season to Harvey relief. The Cardinals said they would also donate $10,000 for every homer he hits. Carpenter said the opposing pitcher should do their part & throw plenty of balls down the middle.
Update; 3 More Cardinals have each matched that $10,000 & Carpenter is challenging other ballplayers throughout the league (as well as fans) to do something as well.
