This coming Wednesday night TCM runs A Face in the Crowd

I post here because, if you're one of the few DUers who has not seen this incredible, prescient performance by Andy Griffith as Lonesome Rhodes, a narcissistic, sociopathic, terrifyingly familiar politically motivated TV personality, you are in for a treat, and an education.

I grew up watching and loving Andy Griffith, but if he had never done another thing in his life, he would have justified his career with this. There are reasons why people make films like this. Take heed. And thanks to Andy.
