How would a war with North Korea play out politically?

First, a war with North Korea would be awful. It would mean hundreds of thousands of deaths. It would also be a huge disruption to the World economy as it would drive China, Japan, South Korea and the United States into a conflict. Not good for mankind at all.

However, would a war rally support for Trump? If so, might that be an internal calculation to start a war? I would think the level of death and economic pain would be politically unpopular for a President who would likely be seen as incompetently starting the war. That said, I am not sure.
