That would certainly fit his lifelong pattern. Americans have not so much as a scrap of evidence that would incline us to trust or to believe the republican "leader." Waiting...waiting...waiting.

Wish people would quit putting his puke-inducing mug everywhere, I am sickened by the sight of him. He is physically revolting.

Where did he get the idea that he is something special? Ugly as sin, bloated face, orange peel skin, lots of chins, white rings around his eyes. Dear God, what a mess of a person he is. IF he had an iota of intelligence it might help, but he lacks that, too. Most repulsive person to come along the pike in years. I have seen serial killers who were much more attractive than this pile of puke. The gop owns this scab, lock stock and barrel.

we might believe him. But he does have a history and so why should we believe him now? Besides, as has been pointed out, if (and that is a BIG IF) tRump is as rich as he claims, a one million dollar donation from one so rich is like reaching in his pocket to drop the loose change in the Red Kettle at Christmas time. Nice gesture, but kind of pathetic if he was hoping to set an example.

I'll believe it when his check is cashed.

Meanwhile, those not waiting to help.....

The Houston Dynamos have donated at least $1 million to the American Red Cross' relief efforts.
Houston Texans owner Robert ‘Bob’ McNair, pledged to donate $1 million.
The NFL Foundation said it would match McNair’s $1 million.
Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft, pledged to match $1 million to The Red Cross.
Houston Rockets’ owner Leslie Alexander initially said he would donate $4 million - but later upped his donation to $10 million.
Houston native John Arnold pledged $5 million to Greater Houston Charity Foundation.
Houston-based Sysco Corporation announced they will donate at least $1 million, including an immediate donation of $500,000 to the American Red Cross.
The Baltimore Ravens announced they are donating $1 million to help Houston recover.
Walmart has pledged up to $20 million in cash, products and matching donations.
Verizon has contributed $10 million.
Tech billionaire Michael Dell pledged $36 million.
Amazon and Whole Foods matched $1 million in cash donations made on Amazon.com to the Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief.
Apple has already made a $2 million donation to the Red Cross, and will also match employee donations 2 to 1.
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation is donating $1 million, including a $250,000 donation to the Red Cross.
The Boeing Charitable Trust committed $1 million to the Red Cross.
Chevron is making a $1 million donation to the Red Cross.
Citi Foundation has committed a $1 million donation to the Red Cross.
Coca-Cola Foundation pledged $1 million to the Red Cross and will match employee donations up to $100,000.
ConocoPhillips is making a $2.5 million donation to both the Red Cross and the United Way of Greater Houston.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation is donating $1 million to the Red Cross.
Facebook donated $1 million to organizations on the ground and said more than $10 million has been raised on its platform for Harvey relief.
FedEx committed $1 million in cash and transportation support to deliver medical aid and supplies.
HCA donated $1 million to the American Red Cross.
Home Depot committed $1 million to help.
IBM is donating $2 million in cash and in-kind technology and services.
ICE is making a $1 million contribution to the Red Cross and matching employee donations.
International Paper has pledged $1 million.

And those are just some of the million-dollar-plus donors; with many, many more donating in the $250,000 - $1 million range.

It's still not enough.

There are a huge presence in Houston. The sooner things normalize, the sooner their employees can be more productive. Personally, I think and hope that their gift is in the tens of millions.

...the list was so long....I just did the million+ donors. There were a crap-ton of those who gave in the 6-figure range, and added they would do matching with their employees and sometimes customers.

There were several energy companies on the list I saw, but it could also be true Exxon just had not decided what to do.

I'm guessing they will. I'd bet Trump won't - unless cornered.
