What level of greatness is required to write a letter to your predecessor, who is an avowed Racist and smeared your entire existence like the he one left for 45?
It's a level I've not ever seen, that's for sure.

(58,785 posts)As for the letter, no greatness at all required. It's a tradition that has become part of the president's job. Of course, some have more wisdom to bring to the job than others.
Which brings us around to Hill. If only Obama had been able to write that letter to a person he would have liked to see follow him in office. One he chose to put in line for it by making her his secretary of state.
Btw, Obama's not dead and gone, you know. He'll be in public life for a few more decades.
