WE GET IT, GOP

There’s only one reason – and one reason only – why you are doing nothing to rid us of the incompetent madman you’ve put in the Oval Office: You don’t give a flyin’ fuck.

You don’t give a fuck if he ruins American lives, puts our national security at risk, distances us from our allies, or lowers our standing and influence in the global community.

You don’t give a fuck if he lies, makes decisions based on passing whims, or tries to bait North Korea into war just because he fuckin’ well feels like it.

You don’t give a fuck if Americans die as a consequence of his actions, or if global conflict is triggered by his statements - nor do you care if he consistently and repeatedly demonstrates his obvious mental instability.

You don’t give a fuck that he praises our enemies, colluded with them, and personally gave them highly classified information at his first opportunity to do so.

You don’t give a fuck that the presidency of the United States is now being degraded, disrespected, and shat upon every day by the current holder of that office.

You don’t give a fuck about ANY of that. You don’t give a fuck about the well-being of your fellow citizens, the well-being of our country, or the very survival of our democracy.

YOU. JUST. DON’T. GIVE. A. FUCK.

There is NO other explanation.

Of dark money brought to them by Citizens United and the other insane decisions coming from the Supreme Court that readily legislates from the bench. A court that ignores the clear language in the Bill of Rights. We are a morally bankrupt nation where the rot caused by Citizens United has taken hold in the American population that brings us the likes of Donald Trump. A rot that is so pervasive that the mid-term elections will do little to rip out that rot who's foundation is wrapped in a flag and carrying a Bible. That is who we have become as a nation. We have become the nation of Putin where corruption reigns.

We have become so polarized in this country that if someone crosses over into the dark side and becomes a die hard, liberal bashing Trump supporter, there's zero chance in hell of winning them back. You can't do it. It's like the zombie apocalypse - once someone becomes a zombie, you can't change them back into a functioning human being. I know lots of minds who have been warped by the Fox News Kool Aid that just can't be changed no matter how hard you try. It sucks. You almost never see liberals who are ex-conservatives, whereas you see plenty of conservatives who are ex-liberals.

Aside from this little speedbump with Schumer & Pelosi, Trump has done absolutely nothing that's not 100% in line with the Republican platform.

I haven't heard McConnell burbling on NPR for weeks, which tells us that everything is proceeding more or less exactly as he wants it. If he had something to complain about, then NPR would have him on the air twice a day, as they did through much of Obama's presidency.

Don't let them fool you: Trump is the perfect Republican. Until he seriously threatens their hold on the majority, they have no reason to rein him in.

Further, since I am confident that they've already put plans in place to steal the 2018 and 2020 elections, they have even less reason to act against him.

Most Republicans want more racism, want more fascism, want more violence against 'libruls' and people of color.

Republicans LOVE Donald Trump's agenda, there is a reason he has 78% approval among the GOP.

I don't think we here realize how much hate, fear and ignorance we a truly up against in this country.

When he came down that escalator I told everyone he was no joke, and was a real threat to win the nomination because he embodied what the republican party was devolving into.

That really is why they can't "quit" him. The establishment wants a Reagen or W who will wink at it, they would rather be coy about it all, but after feeding the beast bread crumbs for decades once there was someone who was willing to out and out throw them red meat, the establishment lost control of them.

They are so craven, so soulless they can't stand the thought of possibly fracturing their coalition of hate by taking a stand against him.

Not afraid for the future. I am afraid of the future. I dont think many people have an inkling what is in the cards here in the next couple of decades.

I wish I saw it differently, I truly do. But I dont see anyway to avoid it. Too much hate by too many people in this country to not have something truly awful happen.

get tax relief that translates into more money sent to off shore money laundries, they just do care. They have become a gang of sociopath criminals, preying on the foolish who but into the worst fears and lowest instincts the radicals use to gain their support.
Heretofore, Trump supporters are to be known as Trump sympathizers.

Compared with 31% of independents, and 9% of Democrats.

Which speaks volumes about Republicans. Who in their right mind could think that #45 is approval-worthy? Fox (et al) has left them utterly incapable of critical thinking.

And chilling because there's nothing normal about the Trumpster or his Administration. It's not simply the lousy, backward-looking policies (and they are truly lousy) but it's pretending that Trump is anything but unhinged. These are the same people who beat their chests about defending The Constitution while Trump, Herr Leader, careens from one near constitutional-crisis to another.

So, I agree--the GOP doesn't give a flying fuck, is so craven that its only concern is an agenda that appeals to the white donor class. At the expense of everyone else. They're also hypocritical cowards of the worst kind, willing to sell their souls and the country itself to the highest bidder.

With Bannon's interview, I see now the possibility that he has caused fear in these guys. Bannon "has a list" of GOP establishment enemies. He and his group, whoever they are, are lining up people to run against the establishment guys and put them out of office, replaced by Trumpers, who will be totally, absolutely 100% loyal to Trump.

Corker had the nerve to openly criticize Trump. Corker is now on the list. Corker...a prominent, powerful Republican. Corker has said he may not run again. Heller...they're knocking him out because he didn't want to vote for the healthcare plan (even though he ultimately did). There are others.

The tea party group...they are more like Trumpers than the establishment and seem to be Trump loyalists, up to a point.

The Republican Party is being taken over by a group of hateful, war-like, narcissistic, males who have one way: their way. They don't care for democracy, globalism, respect, decency, governing. As that disgusting Gorker (or whatever his name) said, "Out with the liberals, the alpha males are now here." Or something to that effect.

It's up to people who vote Republican to decide who they want as their representatives. What will they decide? I'm afraid I know...because they either vote for whoever the Repub is, or because they really are not too intelligent or educated & are easily fooled.

They are a split Party who cannot even get him a bill to sign so they should have impeached him long ago. I hope he drags them all down!!!

Their base is programmed by their media to ignore the truth and stay in the bubble so they think they won't come out too bad, but they know it won't be good unless they have all of their cheating in order for the next election.

Justice grinds slowly, but inexorably--it rewards patience. We can only hope that he doesn't kill us all in his wake, while it wends its way.
