Delta canceled 900 flights today in Atlanta.
SO far, I have electricity, lots of leaves and SMALL branches (THANK GOD!). Predicting more winds from now till about 9.

(34,183 posts)2. Savannah is looking OK. Coastal flooding is biggest concern.
King tide (at 1:00-ish), storm surge, and upstream rivers flowing hard combined for at least 5 - 6 feet over expected high tide levels. We'll know how high after the official measurements.
Quite a few houses will be damaged, but I don't think it will inundate homes like it did in the Houston area.
Low tide in a couple of hours and we're hoping it gets sucks out easily.

(5,754 posts)3. Bands of heavy rain and wind in Dunwoody.
Power is on now, but has been off and on. Gusty winds have probably taken down some trees, but I'm staying home today. A high rise building downtown is shedding some tiles, so some roads are closed. Most flights are cancelled.
