Is there anywhere in America where people actually vote for dogcatchers?

I'm not talking about sheriff's, city or county officials whose duties include animal control. I'm asking if the position listed on the ballot is "dogcatcher." After I saw a reply saying that we should vote for Democrats from the very top all the way down to dogcatcher it has sparked my curiosity.

Thanks.

What's the point of catching dogs anyway? If we catch them, then they stay here, but if we just let them run away, then they run away and aren't a problem anymore. The last thing you want your dogcatcher doing is running around catching dogs.

However, there are a few occasions where it might be useful like if someone is bit and catching the dog is necessary to determine if it has rabies.

I've lived in both rural and urban areas in Texas and I have never seen the position on the ballot. I believe that the closest office that might participate in such duties is a constable in rural counties.

That's why everyone should have a gun. If a dog tries to bite you, shoot it. Problem solved. But, no, libruls want to take guns away, so everyone who gets bit has to call the government for help.

Libruls like myself have convoluted solutions to all those important problems. It's like those complicated proofs that they require in geometry and trigonometry class. Math is bad because it is too much like science. If it ain't in the good book then it ain't needed.

for the impaired.

Instead of solving for X, you just fire a warning shot to flush it out and force it to identify itself.

Like that Quackenbush woman. Totally responsible gun owner who fired warning shots with her eyes closed. Then, if you actually hit the dog, you can say you didn't mean it.
