BY BEN KAMISAR - 09/14/17 10:10 AM EDT
Former Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin will campaign for former Alabama state Supreme Court Judge Roy Moore as he looks to unseat Sen. Luther Strange (R) in the state's special Senate runoff.
Palin, one of Moore's highest-profile endorsers, will travel to Alabama as part of a bus tour coordinated by the Great America PAC, a super PAC that is aiming to challenge incumbents who they believe aren't loyal to President Trump's agenda. Palin will likely stump for Moore at an event next week, according to Breitbart News, which first reported the plan.
While Trump endorsed Strange thanks to a full-court press by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other top Republicans, some of Trump's more conservative allies have flocked to Moore, the brash and controversial former judge. Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has been advocating on Moore's behalf, and a top confidante, Andy Surabian, is now advising Great America.
Moore and Strange have just a week and a half before the Sept. 26 runoff election decides the candidates fate. Moore continues to lead in all public polling, but Strange has a much larger war chest and allies like the Senate Leadership Fund that have been blanketing the airwaves with ads blasting Moore.

(15,384 posts)Apparently not understanding that the Supreme Court trumps him, if he is elected, he's not going to understand how the Senate works, and while he'll go in thinking he's a big shot that's going to stir up trouble, the rules will bog him down to the point that he won't be able to do anything but yap.
