ever since I saw Anderson interviewed on TV (maybe on Seth Meyers? I can't remember). Sounds like it is spot on. I still go back to Reagan being a huge source of the problem-- got the "religious" right to get so active in politics, got people to start blaming the federal government for every problem (even those these same people benefit from a strong federal gov and would be the first to expect the feds to take care of them if a problem arose, got people to start blaming women, minorities, gays, etc for their own problems. But, as Anderson proves, this trend has been a long, long time in the making.
