Ok. I am going to state an obvious fact.

The idea that the promotion of raising taxes and what you get for that is govt provided healthcare is a winning political proposition is crazy.

We will lose every time. It will never see the light of day because democrats will never have a mjaority to enact it. We will continue to lose.

It is not that I personally don't want it. I do! So don't make it about me ok.

with medicare for all as one of the options on the exchanges. Folks may also need a supplement plan that would cover more, just like medicare recipients do. Medicare-E E for everyone.

sign it into law. Then we would need a Supreme Court that would protect it.

I don't see any of that happening in my life time.

on health care, and any tax increase will largely be offset by those savings.

But, it's worse than that-- people are afraid of change. Most people covered now accept that coverage and even the ones who don't tend to fear that anything new can be worse.

If we got the marketing geniuses at Apple, Amazon, and Tesla behind Medicare for all, everyone would be drooling over it.

But now? It's utterly irresponsible or worse as it erodes confidence in the one plan that's actually become law and furthermore has gained wide acceptance. And it seems Sanders himself admitted 30 years ago that his plan wouldn't work and since then costs have increased dramatically:

I honestly can think of no good reason for raising false hopes in this way at this time.

...otherwise we'll lose seats every time. Got it. You're cool with the status quo and trying for anything better is futile and we lose every time.

That's a great message.

I think a bill that has no chance of passing is faux legislation. Also, the Democratic Party is going to get bashed with this...already a CBO score and that stupid video of Sen. Sanders...this could cost us 18 and 20...very bad timing. Also, what about those who depend on the ACA...you think they will be fine with nothing for years and years...many will die. This is a very foolish thing to do...and I have a question for you. If Conyers does this every year...including this year...why did Sen. Sanders propose his own bill at this time? What was the point?
