<A photo circulating on social media this weekend is stirring some controversy.
The picture shows two high school girls smiling and holding signs and standing alongside the Robertsdale High School mascot, a bear. One sign is a banner that reads, "Trump Make America Great Again."
The other is a homemade poster that reads, "Put the 'Panic' Back in Hispanic."
The message on that sign has been called racist.
The Baldwin County Public Schools superintendent, Eddie Tyler, put out a statement on the matter Saturday.
Tyler said, "We are aware of a photo that appears to be taken at a Robertsdale High School football pep rally Friday Sept. 15 that is circulating on social media containing political banners and unacceptable language. School administrators, as well as my office, are following up on the matter."
The Robertsdale Bears football team's Friday night opponent was the Spanish Fort Toros.
In sharing the photo on Facebook, current Robertsdale student Jennifer Lopez Vazquez called the sign "disrespectful." She wrote, "This happened yesterday at our school pep rally. They know it's Hispanic Month.">

The only thing worse than assholes voting for trump is passing the hate onto their kids.

They can't much say it's anything else, appearing right next to the trump flag.

Looks like some of their grandkids are carrying the torch

(95 posts)6. Millennials are as racist
As previous whites. Implicit bias testing shows they have the same instinctual fears of black and brown people. White millenials voted for Trump.
Unfortunately, whiteness as an identity is a toxic disease.

if the mascot's attire is anything to go by.
The brat seemingly thinks she's expressing a patriotic attitude. I'm guessing the Civics classes at Robertsdale are somewhat deficient.
