Hatch Introduces Medical Marijuana Research Bill. And how...

Does the Onion have a mole in his office?

It’s high time to address research into medical marijuana,” Hatch said. “Our country has experimented with a variety of state solutions without properly delving into the weeds on the effectiveness, safety, dosing, administration, and quality of medical marijuana. All the while, the federal government strains to enforce regulations that sometimes do more harm than good. To be blunt, we need to remove the administrative barriers preventing legitimate research into medical marijuana, which is why I’ve decided to roll out the MEDS Act.”

“I urge my colleagues to join Sen. Schatz and me in our joint effort to help thousands of Americans suffering from a wide-range of diseases and disorders. In a Washington at war with itself, I have high hopes that this bipartisan initiative can be a kumbaya moment for both parties.

We used the leaves in alcohol method. She rubs the solution into her hip before she goes to bed and it has helped her sleep because her hip isn't killing her at night. In a million years I didn't think my mom would even try it.. but it has helped her so much.

She thinks it's making her high and that's helping her sleep but we just let her think that LOL

who suffered a TBA (traumatic brain injury) uses 'the weed' for his continuing symptoms. Far less toxic and more effective than many of the prescribed meds. The time to remove the ridiculous legal barriers are long overdue.

Can't believe this is a Hatch initiative. My guess is he knows someone, someone close who has benefitted from using pot. Sadly, it's the only way Republicans have a 'come to Jesus' moment--when it hits home.

I'm just surprised Hatch opened 'the hatch' on the subject. He's one of the last people I would have expected to even raise the issue.
