Palin, Gorka cast Alabama candidate Strange as too swampy for Senate

Two avid Trump supporters on Thursday blasted the presidents preferred candidate in the Alabama runoff for U.S. Senate, Sen. Luther Strange, as too swampy for Washington while hailing his opponent, former state Chief Justice Roy Moore, as the outsider the state needs.
Directly following a heated evening debate between the two candidates, former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska and Sebastian Gorka, a former assistant to President Donald Trump, used a pro-Moore rally in Montgomery, Alabama, to cast Strange as the swamp personified. The scathing assessment struck a sharp contrast to Trump, who has come out strongly in favor of Strange in recent weeks.
Despite the presidents endorsement, Palin and Gorka characterized Moores bid for the Republican primary nomination in Alabama as part of the realization of Trumps campaign promise to drain the swamp in Washington.
They also repeatedly dinged Strange for using the support of the Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC aligned with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). The president needs support to keep the promises that elected him, Palin told the rowdy crowd in Montgomery. So were sending someone that has the back of the people, not McConnells.
She added: Make no mistake, Big Luther is McConnells guy.
