and I go back a ways. In private, Johnson and Nixon were pretty profane (the Nixon tapes were transcribed with a lot of "expletive deleted" remarks), and G.W. Bush was overheard saying Trump's inauguration address was "some weird shit," but I can't remember ever hearing a president use any words in public that couldn't be said in front of my grandmother. Trump's manners make you wonder whether he was raised by wolves - but his followers - spray paint sniffers and extras from Deliverance - seem to love him for his crudeness.
