(65,409 posts)Trump. The only control he can apply to Trump is to block staff from getting to him with RW nonsense from Breitbart, Alex Jones, etc., that can set him off.

(135,846 posts)these athletes should go to the white house and carry his sorry, crooked ass out of there.

(4,429 posts)For years we have decried professional athletes for not being role models. These men - who are kneeling - are precisely the kind of role models we need.

(6,916 posts)The president (27.5, let's call him, following LeBron) is nothing if not media savvy. These tweets are designed to pressure his natural allies - the GOP billionaires that own NFL teams.
I think 27.5 has misjudged this one. If the owners don't fall in line (and I don't think they will), this will blow up in his face.

(6,916 posts)But yes I agree with you.
I was watching a pats game and saw Murdoch in Kraft's box. Consorting with an enemy of America, that's what Kraft did. I'm done with him.
But I'll take Kraft's statement on kneeling, even though it was fairly weak.

(4,661 posts)and would never go anyway, are yelling HELL NO, WE WON'T GO! But they'll be watching on TV as usual, and hoping for empty stadiums so they can gloat.
Instead of the wave, fans at games could do a mass kneel, or adopt some group movement that implies kneeling.

(6,916 posts)And that has little to do with patriotic players who kneel to protest racism in the white house.
TV, high ticket prices and CTE have all affected ticket sales.
