trying to convey the idea that they're always breaking the rules/laws, so who's surprised if the cops shoot one now and then ? Problem ? Redhats don't see no problem with that.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” ― Theodore Roosevelt

7. Yes another Trump distraction
Sun Sep 24, 2017, 12:07 PM
Sep 2017

I'd like to point out a few things.

1. Trump is addicted to constantly being the center of attention. So he will almost unconsciously look for things to be offended about, so he can raise a big stink about it. Thereby making himself the center of attention with a faux tantrum outrage.

2. Whether you stand, take a knee, or eat popcorn during the national anthem does not affect how I feel about my country, the flag, or the anthem. No one is powerful enough to affect my patriotism. The Buddhist perspective is that the flag is both appearance and emptiness simultaneously. The flag appears as a piece of cloth that SYMBOLIZES certain values. The flag itself is completely empty of any values whatsoever. Flags don't have a point of view. Only people have points of view. Patriotic values are not in the flag; those values are in me. As already stated, what anyone does, or doesn't do, doesn't change my values and point of view about the flag.

3. Donald Trump owned a failed football team, the New Jersey Generals. So that certainly doesn't qualify him to tell NFL teams how to run their businesses.

4. Meanwhile Trump's current distraction outrage will run for 4 or 5 days. MSMedia will show talking heads commenting on it. When it runs it course, Trump will manufacture the next outrage distraction, and the next, and the next, and the next. So don't breathe any life into the distraction. If your family and friends bring up the subject, just tell them that it's another Trump distraction that has no effect on your patriotism.

5. Don't get suckered into his distractions. Let's keep our eye on the prize of resisting the Republican fascists, electing Democrats, and impeaching Trump the traitor.

9. THIS: "Don't get suckered into his distractions."

The entire media establishment seems to be revolving around a Trump-centric universe, as it should be for very different reasons, illegitimate election, obstruction of justice, pussy grabbing, lies, ... the very reasons Trump creates all the distractions.

11. Doing a fine job of distracting conservatives from their healthcare betrayal

by their leaders also. For whatever reason The Donald started it, right-wing media are using it to the hilt for another.

I turned on Fox to see what they were serving, and it was very heavily on the distraction. "Outraged," of course. NFL players are being paid so much, how dare those ingrates refuse to realize they're supposed to have sold out, and refuse to stay bought off? Not exactly how they put it, of course. Un-American, but what can one expect?
