the male supporters were just the reduxe of all I've seen previously. And, truthfully, the women supporters I've seen have seemed to fit a certain stereotype. That woman, though, was troubling to me.

and think she did a good job last night. For someone who was such a supporter of BO and as a black woman, I can't imagine how hard it was for her to maintain that level of professionalism and neutrality that she did last night. Me, on the other hand, despite being a pretty laid back person, found my stomach in knots, my blood pressure and anger level sky high and I wanted to reach into that TV and strangle those idiot tRump supporters. As another poster said, that Asian woman was sickening. The guys were just as bad but fit the typical RW mold, especially the first guy introduced- large bully all puffed up with his superiority and speaking in such authoritarian terms.

But the way this panel went to me typified the problem we progressives have throughout this country. The RW'ers speak in such absolutes and with such authority that those around them who don't know the difference take their BS as fact. They are completely fine with telling outright lies or twisting the truth in such a way as to intentionally mislead others for the sake of spreading the RW message a la FAUX, Limpballs, etc. Progressives don't act like we are God making proclamations and knowing everything. Unfortunately, those who don't take the time or don't have the time/interest in keeping informed of facts don't know that the RW BS is complete BS and usually against their interests.

I couldn't have listened to those idiots that way. She did almost lose it when the Asian lady next to her said that we should give trump a chance because we don't really know who his is. Oprah almost did a spit take and asked her if it wasn't really that he lets us know every day exactly who he is.

I sort of agree with the group; I don't see any way for us to get together. Watching that along with the Ken Burns documentary and the way we were as a country then doesn't bode well. I lived through that time and can see how long it took us to get past it. Even though the way we got past it was to never, ever talk about that war. It came up in a group I was with this last week-end. It was scary about how nasty it might have gotten, but we all just changed the subject. We are a divided nation.

kept emphatically whining "you have to give him a chance". The first time, as you said, Oprah said "doesn't he tell us who he is every day" (TRUE!) but the Asian lady just kept repeating that we need to give him a chance. A chance to do what? Kill millions by taking away their health care? Ruin lives (or lose lives) by deporting Dreamers back to dangerous areas? Let LGBTQ students/persons get beat up with no consequences? etc, etc, etc. We need to cut this guy off at the knees and protect the citizens of this country!!!
