Just a few pictures of how long this shit has been going on, mostly to no good outcome.

How long must the very same protest - updated for the era - be made? When will this country learn what the fuck we stand for? Over, and over, and over, and still over again, and again.

This old, cranky-ass white guy stands solidly with these men and women.

This is just a sample. The oldest image, by the way, is from 1936. NINETEEN THIRTY SIX. Think about that.

The only knee still necessary really ought to be to a shriveled, orange hired scrotum.

And let's end this on a high note:

Anyone watching could clearly see what this was all about once he was done. It was a show for the ages!

....Luz Long.

He noticed something in Owens' approach in the long jump and advised Owens about it. Owens corrected it, won the Gold Medal and Long finished second.

Long was a white German in Nazi Germany, probably risked his life for even talking to Owens.

he was killed during the Allied invasion of Sicily while he was serving in the Wehrmacht

It sounds like the two men stayed in touch as friends and Jesse Owens went back to Germany to visit Long's family later on

It shows how, even 80 years ago, sports could transcend race and bigotry. One wonders how Hitler felt after he heard that story.

Donald Trump on Saturday was quick to praise sports icon Muhammad Ali following his passing, which ended a relationship between the two that spanned decades.

"Muhammad Ali is dead at 74! A truly great champion and a wonderful guy. He will be missed by all," Trump tweeted.

Of course, that was before Ali ripped Trump a new asshole. More at the jump.

Some of the men standing looked familiar. Carl Stokes is standing at far left behind Bill Russell. He was the Mayor of Cleveland from '68 to '71. The fifth man from the left behind Jim Brown is Sid Williams, NFL player and the husband of Maxine Waters.

A new civil rights movement might hold up America's march to becoming a nazi dictatorship where most of us are wage slaves to dirt bags like Charles Koch.

"You're a bright young man. You'd have made a good lawyer, and I would have loved to have you practice in front of me, but you went another way, partner. Take care of yourself. I don't feel any animosity toward you. I want you to know that. Once again, take care of yourself."

Judge Edward D. Cowart (of Dade County) said that to Ted Bundy after he sentenced him to death.
If Ted Bundy had been a black man, do you think that judge would have said that?
