What is Chris Hayes thinking? He's having HRC on opposite the season premier of the Big Bang Theory.

We've been hearing a lot of nonsense about Hillary making "terrible mistakes" in her campaign. Interviewing Hillary on this night is what a real boneheaded mistake looks like.

I am sure I will see the interview at some point. And I am really looking forward to it. During the election, and to some extent after, Chris Hayes is probably the only journalist who never lost his memory of the real details of history. He remembered how popular she was just a few years ago, he remembered that her campaign was upbeat and positive and he recognized that she ran a substantive, issue-oriented campaign.

Not everybody watches Chris Hayes, either. People will choose to watch the show that interests them most. And in many cases they will be able to watch both, because Hayes' show repeats after Brian Williams' show. It's late, but those who want to watch both will have the opportunity. There's also this great newfangled gadget called a DVR. It will be fine.

because TBBT is pretty liberal in its concepts as well as its scripts, which often include sexual references and edgy jokes. However, people who don't like TBBT for those reasons probably don't watch MSNBC either. People who don't watch TBBT because they don't like sitcoms or maybe because they think the show has run out of ideas might tune into Hayes' show, either because they want to see this interview or because they always watch MSNBC in the evening. People who like Trump and/or hate Hillary aren't likely to watch TBBT at all, ever, because it's about smart people and science.

Solution: Watch Big Bang on TV, Check DU later for significant updates.

I have a feeling the post-interview DUscussions will be full of Bernie-Blaming though.
Which is basically a Rerun of what's been playing on continuous loop here for the last 10 months.

My kids never understood how we thought there were specific times to watch The Wizard of Oz and Heidi on TV. Nor did they understand why I found an excuse in 1964 not to go with the family to my aunt and uncles - when I knew the Beatles would be on Ed Sullivan for the 4th or 5th time. You saw it then -- or never.

The basic premise of the show was that these guys were hopeless social maladroits who couldn't attract women because they were so weird and nerdy. That's where most of the jokes came from. Now it's just Friends (a show I always found annoying) with more science.

But I don't think its premiere will be a national television event.

Too many other options, and among those, a considerable number that are better.

I wouldn't get too miffed with Chris over this conflict. This is probably part of the book promotion rounds that was set up between Hillary's publisher and whom ever it is that handles Chris Hayes show scheduling.
