To Those Who Felt McCain Betrayed Graham

To all of you rethuglicans who think McCain betrayed his best friend, Graham, this message is for you: Those in Congress don't have to do something because they're friends are doing it....this ain't middle school!! People in Congress are there to do what they think is right for we the American people! They should not be there to succumb to peer pressure....again, this ain't middle school!!!

Yeah...I really get this impression that just because their friends are doing something, they feel the need to follow suit!

that the role of the House was to represent the views of their constituents, and Senators were to be above local considerations and work toward what was best for the nation. Senators were supposed to be the "wise men" (and women, of course) of the legislature, above politics. What a joke that turned out to be.

But I guess John McCain's death sentence has caused him to examine what he stands for, and I hope his no vote indicates that he is going to consult his conscience, not the polls, while he is still able to work.
