Many are missing the underlying purpose of what Trump is doing.

It isn't distraction.

It is a formula.

"In the United States:

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States to fuel instability and separatism, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists". Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics."[1]"

There is a MOLE IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

We are seeing what it is doing to this country.

God help us.

A young man in a shop yesterday -- 'I can't believe it. I've stopped reading the news.'

I tried to wake him up. Nonetheless, it made me realize -- people are just animals, and animals get scared and hide from reality until it breaks into their lives and changes everything forever. Only when there's no other course of action do most people act.

And that's part of the Russian Plan.

and king-maker limbaugh in particular, who increasingly railed against the R-con 'establishment' and made excuses for trump while dissing big money candidates rubio and bush.

they knew they were going to have problems controlling trump - R-con establisment would have much preferred rubio, bush, etc.

did limbaugh just naturally move away from the r-con establishment that created his monopoly power just because he wanted to get in front of the teabags? or did he have incentive?

he was instrumental forcing mccain to choose palin over pawlenty and lieberman, and then in creating 'climategate' from a russian hack in 2009, and then pushing US debt default in 2011. putin couldn't do better than figuring out how to steer limbaugh and his 600 unchallenged radio stations and the 300 blowhards that follow his lead on 1500 stations.

The Foundations of Geopolitics: The Geopolitical Future of Russia is a geopolitical book by Aleksandr Dugin. The book has had a large influence within the Russian military, police, and foreign policy elites[1] and was allegedly used as a textbook in the General Staff Academy of Russian military.[1]

He is indeed a racist, divisive POS, but he's also desperate and he is searching lower and lower for the reddest meat he can dream up to rile and please his base, which in turn provides the distraction he needs. It's not that he is shrewd enough to set out to find distractions, it's that he is desperate for a change of subject and jones-ing for his drug of choice, attention -- positive or negative -- which as a consequence provides the needed distraction from his legal troubles.

And remember, he doesn't see or hear much about the blowback -- outrage and disapproval barely show up in his Twitter feed or in his staff-prepared daily briefings.

He is living in a BIG GIANT BUBBLE where it seems his base is huge and adores him even more when he's being vicious and racist and sexist.

Little story...
We once entertained a Russian physicist back during cold war era and I mention it to my neighbor who was a reporter. Well, we were interviewed and not just by the reporter - the Secret Service gave us a little look-see after the news article appeared. Big black car pulled up when I was out on the balcony 3 floors up. I said to myself, "can't be" but it was. Nearly spoiled myself because I had baby cannabis plants on that balcony!! They never went out there, tg. I transplanted them out in the country soon afterwards. Hubby didn't smoke and never approved. Although hubs is very liberal, we otherwise have a yin/yang thing that's lasted 50yrs this Sept. 2.

Behind this is Eastern Orthodox Christianity and its dogma.

Are you ready to see Dugin's own blog site?

Would the FBI be interested in the insurgent religious basis of this Dugin's geopolitics?

More info from Russians is needed about this.

I've always held that believer dogma are behind most economic and military transgressions across continents. The landbase network goals aren't complicated but the ideas behind the aggressions appear complicated, decades in their development, with a kind of parallel Opus Dei secrecy behind it.

Seriously.

If others around DT can understand Duginism (you give it the Anglo spelling) the name has not come up.

I find this particular intellectual frame esoteric -- a tortured attempt to explain post modern Western historical events since WWII, when such events weren't driven by these ideologies, at least not consciously.

What this guy's dry explanation amounts to, to me, is a description of Sovietism's view of the West, combined with philosophy and Eastern Orthodox religionism. They combine people's need for such fake securities of economics, religion and the secularism of the STEM world, and they offer judgmental analysis of gender, sexuality, and their attendant social dynamics.

Who is this guy? He seems as if he's reading a report for an employer, commenting as if he's a mediator. Who paid for this video. Though this talking head's goal is a hatchet job on Dugin -- using a range of sources to back up his intellectual attack on this Russian intellectual -- he could establish his credentials at the start of the video to improve his credibility.

His advice to alt-righters is the Russian propaganda practice of casting doubt on both sides of conflicts in the West, offering a little advice to both. He's even weary of himself.

I'm going to check this line of Russian thought out.

Thank you for offering it for DU's consideration.

To his madness.

I watched it putting aside his typically conservative Romanian views on the side issues, and I think he delivered a clear warning to those who can hear.

I have to wonder if his conservative stance on some of those things might have been an effort to not alienate the dupes on the right, that they might be more likely to at least consider how they are being played?

And, I fell for the Duginist ploy myself at one point.

I, as a "leftist", did exactly as he described in my comments here pertaining to Putin's actions in the Ukraine - believing that the Western backed government there was fascist, etc..

As he said, some very well intentioned people were misled.

Here we are down the road, we have Donald Trump, and I am kicking myself for being so stupid.

Thanks for thaking the time to watch and discuss, it is very much appreciated!

Neoliberalize all local/state laws and eliminate regulations, even down to building and highway construction codes.

Privatize everything in sight. All federal and state buildings will be turned into either stock brokerages or GOP campaign offices.

Prison inmates will be made freely available to businesses to use as they wish.

Parks will be renamed "Parking Lots".

ALEC will be made a federal division - maybe under Commerce.

Background:

Three men have egged along Trumputinism: Nigel Farage, who is clear that the European Union is a far bigger danger to world peace than Russia; his friend, Steve Bannon, who is now Mr Trump's chief strategist; and a Russian "penseur", Alexander Dugin.

~

With his long hair and iconic Slavic looks, Mr Dugin is variously described as "Putin's Brain" or "Putin's Rasputin".

Surkov is Putin's politcal strategist, and Dugin his politcal theorist. One need only google them and execute a cursory read of their methods and theories to realize that the gaslighting so pervasive in Putin's Russia has come home to roost in Comrade Trump's U.S.A.

Some of us here (GliderGuider, AlexSFCA, and myself) were banging this drum during the waning days of the election and into the transition. Glad to see that the blatant reality of how deeply entrenched we are in this war is starting to finally take hold here.

Sep 2017
http://www.thedailybeast.com/meet-the-moscow-mouthpiece-married-to-a-racist-alt-right-boss

If Dugin’s name is at all familiar, it’s likely due to his neo-fascist screeds, posited as geopolitical analysis, that have begun swirling international trends. As Spencer is to the alt-right, so, too, is Dugin to the modern incarnation of “Eurasianism,” a geopolitical theory positing Russia as the inheritor of “Eternal Rome” and one of the primary ideological bulwarks pushing the Kremlin to carve eastern Ukraine into the fanciful entity of “Novorossiya.” While much of Dugin’s influence on the Kremlin has been over-hyped, Dugin’s Foundations of Geopolitics remains assigned to every member of Russia’s General Staff Academy. And despite Kouprianova’s claims that “there is no evidence of communication between” Dugin and Putin, Charles Clover, in his masterful history of Eurasianism, noted that Putin and Dugin met a few months after the former ascended to the presidency. “Soon,” wrote Clover, “there were sponsors, contacts, and open doors” for Dugin.

This relationship—and the perception of such proximity to the Kremlin—is one of the reasons Dugin landed on the U.S. government’s recent sanctions list. It hasn’t, however, kept Dugin from courting American white nationalists—those who’d fracture the United States in pursuit of whites-only nation. For instance, in 2015 Dugin hosted a lecture, via Skype, at the founding of the U.S.’s Traditionalist Worker Party. That party remains helmed by Matthew Heimbach, who has tabbed Putin as the “leader of the free world.”

Dugin also hosted a separate lecture, again via Skype, at Texas A&M in 2015, partnering with local neo-Nazi Preston Wiginton—the same white supremacist who, last month, invited Spencer to speak at Texas A&M. For good measure, when Wiginton traveled through Russia a few years ago, he sub-leased an apartment in Moscow from David Duke—the former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard who not only believes Russia holds the “key to white survival,” but who has cultivated his own relationship with Dugin.

not so clear is if Trump's playbook is directly from Putin/ Russian sources or if Trump's narcissism allows him to do it naturally, with no intervention needed.

For example, there's a popular dating guide called The Rules, but many women already naturally behave in the manner outlined by the book.

If trump is being fed the playbook straight from Putin, then who is the go-between...the person feeding the info to trump? How would that even be possible, considering all the Russia scrutiny?

If you set out to destroy a great nation deliberately, I do not think you could possibly do any thing different and do a better job. The only part of the plan that should be difficult is getting any Republicans elected at all, much less give them government control. But there were structural flaws in the design of our democracy. . . . for more than half a century, the Korean population has been preparing for the U. S. to return and devastate their country again.

When people think of a nuclear war with North Korea, they picture what happened when atomic bombs were dropped on Japan and, then, they imagine a disaster hundreds of times more explosive and destructive. But, what if war came quietly, as an EMP, an electromagnetic pulse? Would we be ready?

Two EMP satellites are in orbit over the U.S and they were made possible when North Korea hired Russian scientists to help develop them. That makes it less puzzling , IMO, as to why North Korea wasn't mentioned in those plans presented at the Wiki link posted in your OP.

The book is like a script being performed in real time. The whole propaganda effort is to destabilize, it's a theme throughout every plot point.

The twist of turning the right-wing into anarchists and destroying American institutions for Russian oligarchs' interests is a suspension of disbelief beyond most people. Which is why Russians targeted the most vulnerable, those who will swallow anti-American propaganda because it targets the same people they hate--liberals.

Fake news only works on those too dumb and too gullible to fact check, and who deny the mental masturbation of hating liberals and Americans not like them.

and replacing it with Eurasianism seems to be the plan.

They are playing both the far left and far right, for suckers.

I've been puting this out there for years and my reputation has gone from tin hat speculator to Chrystal ball reader, to lying story teller to "you may have a point" to "OMG you were right all along".
I've been saying for a decade that the Anschluss is coming. I made clear statements about the rants and plans being carefully and patiently brewed based on my experience working as a fly on the wall while having drinks and schmoozing over dinner with ultra wealthy power brokers in major cities all over the world... and looky looky... here we are. I didn’t make it up, did I?

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it listen to a goddamn thing you say. Because really, no horse wants to hear it. Even now after the fact.

Welcome to my decades long nightmare.

But remember... it isn't Trump! It's the deciders, it's all up to the deciders as GWB would put it.

I could not believe the response to the idiot. At some point people will have to ignore him rather than allow him to wind them up. Thank you for putting his behavior into perspective. All weekend I wanted to jump on the boards and tell people to stop falling for his propaganda and distraction.

With a lot of veterans of all ages.

(I am not a veteran.)

Almost to a man, they are angry and disgusted by Trump.

His fragile narcissism, though, makes him easy prey for anyone promising to do his job for him so he can watch TV.

He can be thought of as a mole, yeah, but a really stupid one who by terrible luck is in a powerful position for the dismantling of America.

Putin's ally Trump will eventually have the Black, Latino, White, Female, Male, etc. troops all fighting each other. Well at the very least demotivated to fight for the United States. Think about it!

he's become Russia's tool, their useful idiot. Trump cares nothing about anything other than himself, his reputation and his money and everything he does reflects that simple fact. The Russians know this, and have installed him for their purposes. In turn he protects Putin because Russia owns him financially.
