Rush has a sad - damn, those kneeling jocks spoiling his Sundays

I just didn’t care (about now watching NFL games) , which made me sad. I was depressed.
It made me, as I say, very sad.

Unless the protests hurt him personally, or his wallet, I don't think he cares. There's a difference between what he may believe and what he says to pander to a particular audience.

He gets paid to talk, not to believe.
