Nicole and Steve Schmidt are both top notch. Too bad the only VP McCain wanted was Joementum Lieberman. That's how they wound up without time to vet the ninny of the north. From what I've read, Palin nearly drove Nicole to a complete mental breakdown.

You sign on to a prestigious post in the Presidential campaign for someone you respect. You have reached the top of your career running campaigns after many years of establishing yourself and then a complete moron ends up being selected as VP who shouldn’t be running a local PTA chapter let alone potentially have all the powers and responsibilities of the US Presidency.

What do you do now? Every choice is screwed up. You start off trying to see if you can fix the VP candidate but they have no interest in doing so.

With Woody Harrelson as Schmidt, Ed Harris as McCain, Julianne Moore as Sparkle-Moose, Sarah Paulson as Wallace. Moore was universally acclaimed for her acting as Palin. The rest of the cast is equally fine.

It is yet another great HBO produced film. It was based on Heileman/Halperin book of the same name. NetFlix has it. Tom Hanks was one of the producers!

Trailer:

Highly recommended.

BTW, it is fucking scary how close to power Palin came, scary as a Teddy Kruger film.

...she and Steve Schmidt (sic?) have been real good on the Trump front. Steve was very strong today -can't recall the show- he startled me...
