Trump voters hammer his multiple failures: ‘A slogan doesn't cut it for me anymore — he’s had 9 months’

CNN had another panel of Trump voters to talk about the president on Wednesday morning, and they were running out of patience for his failure to make any progress on making positive change for the country.

Trump voter Mark O’Brien, reflecting upon the Republican Party’s recent failure to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, said that while Trump was good at coming up with catchy slogans, he hasn’t shown that he knows how to negotiate and govern. “The slogan doesn’t cut it for me anymore,” O’Brien said. “He’s had nine months.”

Trump voter Jordan Jacquay similarly noted that “‘repeal and replace’ was more of a slogan than a plan,” as evidenced by the fact that the Republican Party had no concrete replacement plan for the Affordable Care Act ready to go despite vowing to repeal it for the past seven years.

“You can’t replace Obamacare with something that’s not going to cover preexisting conditions,” Jacquay explained. “And it’s why, so far, Republicans have been unsuccessful.”
