brings tears to my eyes.

I do not understand why more people didn't oppose the Iraq War before it started.

I wrote my congress people and senators before the infamous vote to allow Bush to do what he wanted, strongly asking them to vote against it. I received replies from all of them. One senator and one congressman did indeed vote nay. I like to think my letter helped persuade them.

It saddens me that more didn't vote nay.

He has been surrounded and insulated by people who told him what to do, and that he was doing a great job .. well, he's delusional of course. As is Condi Rice and the rest of that administration. We should load that whole family up on a big jumbo jet, much like they did with bin Laden's family after 9/11, and send them over to their buddies in Saudi Arabia.

I’d tell you to go fuck yourself
But that is much too kind
Because if you could perform that feat
You’d take pleasure in your behind

I’d like to say eat shit and die
But you deserve much more
You should suffer all the grief and pain
Of your misbegotten war

Though I can never make you feel
Or think, or understand
I’ll take solace when you hear your name
Cursed throughout the land

From inside a lonely prison cell
Dark and bare and cold
Where every day you pay for your crimes
Till you’re sick, heartbroken, and old

And when you finally leave the earth
You fucked over oh so well
If there is a God and afterlife
You’re going straight to hell.

One of my strongest points of view is our own responsibility for what happened, EVERY ounce of that personal responsibility needs to be owned, even amongst the peace community, but even still . . .

He was the one man who had the power to make it stop or go, for all of our shortcomings, it was still he who was "the decider". If he had not been who/what he is, this would not have happened.

George Bush's name should be forever cursed throughout this land.

These are the real sociopaths, the ones that put out hits on people they don't like. They are the pinnacle of what a bully can aspire to, they get away with murder and like it.

I wonder if a petition could be raised on a national (if not international level), for example; "The People of the United States vs. GW Bush'. I wonder if it would grow legs.

The idea that a few people can abuse power needs to change--and the way to do this is, just like the way the Occupy Movement has shown, that en masse we can be very powerful, especially when NO ONE PERSON can be targeted, when we all act together. These people abuse power by going against individuals, and I wonder what would happen if we used this concept to act.

Just my 2 cents, I like the way you think patrice

you wonder how the most powerful country in the world allowed the Supreme Court to select a POS as President. Fast forward, same POS got elected in 2004. I kept wondering what is wrong with the American people to elect this ass.

Same shit will happen to Iran if Romney gets elected! Even if some of you are disenchanted with President Obama, he will never ever be a 'George Bush'! this is not a choice between two evils, this is a choice to elect the better person, at least I think so.

I meant if some DUers not 'some of you', that was wrong and I am sorry!

about America and the world during his eight years in office. I will never forget the pain, arrogance, suffering and misery he inflicted on other people's lives just for his perverted delusions of grandeur and power. He is a cruel, despicable man and I hope history remembers him as such. And I will never forget those who enabled him as well, particularly in the GOP and the media, as well as some in the Democratic Party. Not only was he the worst President ever but he was probably the worst leader that the western world has ever seen since the end of WWII

when the hardware upstairs for empathy never developed, you are quite capable of anything. History is full of it. Not knowing how someone may feel because of something you did, is a warning sign a psychopath is looming. Not knowing leads to — not a care in the world. Your self-image has to be made from something, manipulating people will have to do. Manipulation using lies does not bother this type of person, they don't see them as lies, just tools. Self aggrandizement at the expense of the world does not bother them, they just wish they had more time on this earth. I'll dance on his grave.

Would be if bush had to live out the pain of everyone in the photographs: the person who died, the people who grieved, the people who had to make things right after those lives were erased.

And it wouldn't just be the lives in these pictures. It would be all of them, every single one. He will have an eternity to do it.

One after another, until he gets the idea of why pain should not be needlessly inflicted.

What he said was sad. For him to say that his eight years in office were "awesome" because he was "famous" and "powerful" without seeming to have any sadiness or remorse considering everything that happened during his time in office is, once again, sad. There was Katrina, Iraq, Afghanistan, 9/11, a CIA spy being outed, and an economic meltdown. Those things were not "awesome". There may even be other things that I do not remember.

However, this quote seems to confirm what some people have said about President Bush for years. He does not seem to care about other people. I not sure he could have said this if he actually cared about other people.

Your nonrational emotions are clouding your ability to reason.

If these things were so harmful, there would be laws enacted to prohibit these actions; punishing those who violate the laws and deterring those who would consider violating the laws.

Since those with rational authority to enforce the laws have not prosecuted or punished anyone in the Bush administration, it must be concluded that no laws were violated, and that no actions committed by the Bush administration resulted in any harm being caused.

To think otherwise is letting your emotions get the best of you.

Plus, to succumb to the infantile demands for prosecution is neither realistic nor pragmatic.

The night before the burial of her husband’s body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of “Cat,” and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. “I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,” she said. “I think that’s what he would have wanted.”

Fifteen bodies that want to live here.
Thirty eyes seeking quietness.
Bald heads that gape from out of the prison.
The holiness of the suffering, which is none of my business...

Food is such a luxury here.
A long, long night and a brief day.
But anyway, I don’t want to leave
The lighted rooms and the burning cheeks.
Nurses who leave behind them only a shadow...

I’d like to stay here, a small patient...
Then I’d like to live
And go back home again
