Normally, I'm against "thoughts and prayers" from politicians, but in this case he has good thoughts and actually tried many times to change things for the better. I bet it must be frustrating to be blocked each time and then see another mass shooting.

When innocent children and teachers were gunned down and the survivors (including other children and their family members and school staff) traveled to D.C. to try their hardest to lobby for some sensible gun control... they were ignored, and summarily dismissed.

Just this past Friday, when Congressman and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise made a triumphant return to the chamber after a mass shooting where his internal organs and bones were ripped apart, and after literally being on his death bed just a few months before, did the GOP consider hearings on what might help to avoid something like that in the future? Of course not.

And after each of these instances, "we" (editorial) keep asking - "When is enough, enough?". Apparently it hasn't been "enough" yet.

open arms did the same with Gabby Giffords too, but did anything come out of that. Fuck the NRA and the GOP they are in bed together. When you lay with fleas you get them.
