My Nephew and His Wife Were At That Concert.

But they left before the final act and were not present during the shooting. We messaged my nephew this morning about 5 AM Vegas time on Facebook. He hadn't even heard about what happened yet. They were tired, after a couple of days of concert-going, and left to get some sleep before Jason Aldean's performance.

We were worried, but were relieved to hear that they weren't there. I imagine that there are thousands of people who are concerned for the safety of friends and family who were in Vegas. I hope everyone who was actually there posts an I'm OK message on their Facebook feed. People need to hear that.

in their hotel room. He didn't even know it had happened until we asked if they were OK.

I'm glad to hear your family members are OK.

I was just in Las Vegas a little over a month ago, and I believe it's very likely that a lot of people didn't hear about the shooting even though it's all over the news. I was there for about 5 days and I never turned on the TV once, never looked at a newspaper the entire time. World War 3 could have started and I wouldn't have known.

I hope people are able to contact their loved ones and make sure they're OK.

and thanking their good fortune at leaving the concert early. I'll probably hear more from my nephew later in the day. I did encourage him to post something on his Facebook feed to let people know ASAP.

I have a number of friends and relatives who travel to Vegas on a regular basis. So far, everybody's accounted for---hope it's the same for other DUers.

Most of her group had left due to early flights out this a.m. Some stayed at the concert longer and were caught in a lock-down somewhere, her details are sketchy. We do know that she, and all of her group, are o.k. although they were separated at least for a time.

We're waiting to hear more.

Something to be said about being tired, and good karma!

Hugs to all of you.
