All of our problems in a nutshell: The Republican party

The Republican party's economic philosophy only truly benefits a small sliver of the entire US voting population. So, in order to win elections, they have to make Faustian bargains with: the Religious Right, anti-choice, bigots, homophobes, sexists, gun nuts, Islamophobes, White supremacists, anti-LGBTQs, polluters, and any other asshole group that I have forgot to mention.

They're not conservative. They're just assholes.

my head wondering what is going on with the MSM? Are they so much apart of the Republican mindset that the can't report straight? I don't know. I just don't get it.

Even the most far right wing parties in Europe will still vote their economic interests first. Our right wing will vote for the 1%'s economic interest with the thinking that it will hurt Black people more than themselves and they're okay with that.

Money corrupted the GOP, possibly beyond repair, and has partially paralyzed Democrats as well.

A GOP freed from the tyranny of NRA and other private money would be a party able to address gun violence.

Btw, isn't the following groups in your list just a subset of the Religious Right or their influence?
anti-choice,
homophobes,
sexists,
Islamophobes, and
anti-LGBTQs
These group are taught their hate.

Doesn't this all come down to Greed, Fundamentalists Religion, Racism, or this USA militarism? Does anyone know any republican voter who does not subscribed to at least one of these categories? I know a huge number of republicans and all of them have one or more of these reasons for voting Republican.

Unlimited flow of cash + church's ability to preach from the pulpit unrestricted and endorse any candidate they want = GOP utopia.

.... all the problems of modern society can be laid to rest at the door of the GOP. If they didn't cause the problem, they at least contributed to it or benefited from it in some way.

Poverty: Easy, screeching about how raising the minimum wage is communism or something.
Crime: See above. Reducing opportunities, education and assistance leads to this. Plus shoving guns in every direction.
Racism: Demonizing people of other colors/races/cultures and promoting the rights and needs of white conservative males.
Ignorance: Self-explanatory. The GOP thrives on ignorance.
Illiteracy: Same as above. The GOP has shown again and again they don't care about education, unless it's pushing private religious schools to teach that evolution is the product of Satanists.
Pollution: Brought to you by your friendly neighborhood businesses, many of whom contribute to the GOP to get rid of those pesky regulations.
Bankruptcy due to medical mishaps: These are the assholes trying to strip insurance from everyone they can or at least make them pay through the nose for it.
Teenage pregnancy: Made possible by idiots screaming how birth control AND sex education are evil.

Pick a problem, any problem, and short of an asteroid plummetting towards the Earth I bet I can show you how the GOP is related to it.
