Gun Policy - write your Congressman !

It doesn't take more than 2-3 minutes to go to your Congressman's web site and send an email.
If you don't have that much time to spare, cut and paste the message I just sent to my Rep and two Senators:

Reports are that the victims in Las Vegas, by the hundreds, were running AWAY from the gunshots. Would the GOP gun silencer bill have helped the situation, or led to dozens or hundreds of more deaths. The NRA is a front for the gun and ammo lobby, and has blood on their hands. US= 30,000 plus gun deaths a year; England = about 50.
We the people demand sensible gun laws, and from now on that issue will greatly determine my vote and support for candidates at all levels of government.

I also sent it to Rep Jeff Duncan, who doesn't represent me, but is one of the principal authors of this atrocious bill which apparently thinks that it is a horrible affront to our liberty to be told to use a pair of earplugs instead of being able to buy a silencer.

but it is still worth it. We won't get them to vote the other way, but when topics get too hot they can agree behind the scenes just to send a bill to some committee to die so they don't have to deal with it.
