Only a handful of people died. Puerto Rico was way-better prepared than New Orleans. The recovery is going great.
Now everybody in his administration has to publicly agree with that. That's their job.

This is why the undermining of the media is so corrosive. It allows the Government to set the narrative regardless of reality.

(5,240 posts)Unless it's official the claims of dozens in morgues etc. will not be used. The PR government or FEMA needs to release official deaths.

(13,390 posts)I am beginning to think that mindset brought out the ugliest adaptive strategy possible. But, it explains why mass murders continue, while people cling to the idea of the 2nd amendment as the ultimate manifestation of freedom.
