supported trump and said trump is all in for gay rights and protections? Does anyone remember him? I can not remember his name but I clearly remember him sitting there on TV and praising trump like he was the god of gay people during the campaign. This administration is just getting sicker and sicker and sicker. I almost think Christian's Satan would be better. We are being ruled by pure evil.

...that they don't like the resolution's approach in "...condemning the death penalty in all circumstances...". They point out that even Obama's State/UN reps voted "no" on this resolution when it came up years ago. They're saying that as long as the death penalty is exercised and legal in the US, that they won't endorse a resolution that calls for the elimination of the death penalty outright.

I read the resolution in it's entirety, and there are plenty of escape clauses to the idea of a complete moratorium. They could have voted yes and not looked like hypocritical creeps for the US still having the death penalty. But, I think that since a majority in the US are still in favor of the death penalty, neither Democratic nor Republican administrations want to seem to advocate for a complete abolition of the death penalty and alienate potential voters.
