I have a feeling.

Hear me out please.

I woke up with a glimmer of hope this morning. The first time since November 2016.

Trump is starting to show his ass in a big way. I'm not talking his normal crazy. I think he is getting to where whatever is wrong with him (bi-polar, sociopath, take your pick) is manifesting in such a way that it will not be able to be ignored by even his hard core supporters.

I caught a glimmer of it last night with his "calm before the storm" and "you'll see" comments. This was different than his normal bullshit. He had a gleam in his eye and a shit eating grin on his face.

So, if he is indeed starting to go full maniac, what will happen?

Well, maybe he will order the military into Iran first. Will this be a breaking point for military leaders? Also, remember that Congress has to authorize war.

Maybe he will do the same thing with North Korea? Maybe, but then again we have our military leaders to talk him out of it (as of right now anyway), and we also have congress.

Maybe he will order a nuke strike on North Korea. This is obviously the most problematic action, as there is obviously no fail safe.

Personally, here is what I think will happen first. He's going to lose his shit on live TV. He's going to go full bugfuck. I always thought that was wishful thinking, until last night. I kind of study the guy. I am a nobody in the scheme of things, but I notice he is changing quickly.

Of course, I could be full of shit. In fact, I probably am wrong. But I sure hope I am right.

They're batshit crazy too.

As he himself said, he could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue and they'd still love him.

You may be right. Kudos for qualifying you prophecy. Over the years I have heard pundits and people here on DU make predictions like they were fact. Mostly they did not come to pass. It is refreshing to read your last line.

As to rumpletrumpskin going "full bugfuck" I hope that would mean something less than destroying the world.

We probably don't have much chance of this happening, but it was just something that crossed my mind this morning. He really scared me last night...he looked like he was retreating into his own personal hell. There is a ton of well-deserved pressure on him...it has to be getting to him.

the TRUTH starts to be exposed. Tillerson DID call him a "f***ing MORON" then refused to deny that. tRump left for Vegas 20 minutes late. It was obvious that when he made a speech there, he was medicated. That empty look, monotone speech. I suspect Maleria is being FORCED to accompany him, to dole out his meds. She seems to be sticking close to him lately, like a paid attendant (I ALMOST said "escort"!!) Obviously, from the miserable expression on her face, this is not sitting well.

He could violate Christ on the cross on live TV, and they would find a way to be ok way with it.

On video, of course, because otherwise it’s #fakenews.

Granted, 2/3s would still claim it’s the “deep state” with their fancy computers and what-nots and what-have-yous and such — even if Dotard Donnie admitted it.

Shit. You’re right: there’s literally nothing that could cost him more than half his base. We’re tribalistic at DU (it’s in the name), but we’re tribalistic for a reason beyond “I like blue.” We have issues we care about, understand, and have made logical conclusions. Generally speaking, of course.

There is absolutely no reason for Joe the Crackhead Plumber not to believe in climate change. And, assuming his disbelief was genuine and not just based on stupidity or tribalism, there’s no reason for him to oppose clean energy.

More than half of us are ready to go to war over the American criminal who died in a North Korean jail — using nuclear weapons and killing millions — while Florida jailers are boiling schizophrenics alive and the government says “Whoopsie!” and pretends like everything’s okay.

Three miles from my home some lunatic murders sixty people with a machine gun, shooting TWO HUNDRED MORE and leaving thousands more physically injured to some degree or another, and more than THAT with psychological damage. Literally thousands of people all over the country are grieving for their friends and family, dead and wounded. Worse casualties than we’ve suffered in any individual battle in any of the multiple wars we’ve been fighting for sixteen fucking years and no plans to end them. And are we ready to address the issue? Hell no! This is America, where too many people are too stupid or too cowardly to make an even somewhat sensible solution. We MIGHT force mass murderers, in the future, to make their bump stocks by hand rather than buy them on the Internet. Not “Why do we let people have weapons like this?” but — I wish I were joking “Why did the shooter hate country music?” and “Why didn’t the casinos protect us?”

The Republicans, naturally, had two responses that are well-practiced: withdraw their idiotic bill to legalize “suppressors” nationwide — now an annual post-mass-murder tradition— and pass a bill in the House to ban abortion. I have to give the gun nuts and religious whackos this: they vote.

When you talk to people, in person or in a poll or anywhere that’s not just people ranting in political forums at 4am (losers ), when you get to issues without any politics: the overwhelming majority of people support “liberal” positions. Not raging Marxist kill-the-rich stuff, but stuff like “the military is cool and all, but they need to spend less money, because we’re spending more than the entire rest of the world combined.” But throw in some SuperPACs, the color red, the national anthem, and the Confederate flag? Woo-hoo! I’m voting Republican and fuck you cuck libtards! I’m not gonna think thoughts OR feel feelings! I’m just gonna vote for my team!

This is a great country. Most of the inhabitants are good people. Many of us are total fucking idiots, need a therapist to get back in touch with reality, or both.

(Clearly I, too, should start seeing a therapist )

He is going to show what a tough CIC he is by pulling out of the Iran peace plan. His base is convinced that the deal is terrible, plus it's another of Obama's accomplishments he can "blow up." Plus, Putin will love the controversy that will ensue not just in the US but with the other countries that signed the deal.

What could be worse than doing away with the peace plan? Iran will lash back and Trump will have another enemy to openly fight with. Heck, maybe even go to war there?

that Trump's storm is his internal fight. ( fright) . His cabinet is openly turning on him. He can't fire them all and they have banded together and decided not to quit.
Meanwhile Mueller is getting into that dossier.

he has done this exact same thing before...I can't recall right now, but during the campaign, it may have been regarding Hillary's email that the Russians were going to provide for him, he did the same, 1/2 announced some crap that no one understood and then said "you will see"...soooo, he has done it before and has held the same crazy look you refer to.

It will be a test for the military if he "orders" something like that. The military knows this is a no-win situation to start a nuclear war, we all perish...for those who think they will be safe in underground bunkers, for how long can they stay down there? the radiation will remain for years, more years than a human can survive.

My prediction is that if he tries to "order" something like that, that will be the end of him as president.
