It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center.
Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.

(10,495 posts)My 80 year old mom has been sick and hasn't been getting up much when she is ordinarily out in her garden most of the day. She saw this on TV and got up, went out and found me just to tell me, still laughing!
I don't always like Bob Corker (never til recently), but when I do,
It is for statements like this!

(56,828 posts)unless he actually takes action against Trump. He still voted to approve all the deplorable cabinet nominees and the repeal Obamacare how many times in the Senate?

(562 posts)But he hasn't tried to repeal the Civil Rights Act or called for secession. I suppose in that context he's great, but I'd hope we could go on the offensive more effectively rather than applauding the best of a sociopathic party intent on oligarchy and now apparently white supremacy.

(4,066 posts)Sure seems like the start of a campaign. I am not in favor of any Southern senator. No matter if they seem sane in comparison to 45. That isn't a very high bar to clear.
Also, I'm from TN originally. It's politicians are backwards ass fucks. They do not represent the best of TN.

Keep those jabs coming, Mr. Corker. You struck a nerve, I am sure!

(7,178 posts)Two sources familiar with matter tell me this tweet is false. Trump told Corker multiple times he would endorse him.
Also Trump called Corker early last week and asked him to *reconsider* his decision to retire and said again he'd endorse him, per source

CNN is reporting this too.
Gawd, finally someone has the guts/support to speak out.
they only seem to grow a pair when they are retiring and know that they don't have to live a daily lie in order to get the money to fund their "elections".
Sad times.
Mr. Ected
(9,670 posts)And quit trying to normalize him, and maybe just maybe putting the Russia thing front and center instead of pretending that they have to wait until he's indicted before they dare point out the FACTS that other news outlets have reported.
So sick of the double standard. It exacerbates an already impossible situation.

(14,492 posts)They tippy-toe with anything against a right-winger, yet amplify the noise against a Dem (e.g. Hillary, 2016). They learned this, I think, from Rupert Murdoch and his trashy tabloids and Faux News, both here and in the UK.
Apparently, they fear repercussions from the huge mass of money controlled by the right around the globe.
