Trump voters will become infamous.

We all make mistakes. But the people who voted for Trump made a mistake they will have to live with the rest of their lives. They voted for someone who was clearly mentally ill. They ignored it. None of their excuses matter. I hated Hillary is not an excuse. I was tired of the same old shit is not an excuse. You cannot vote for someone who is clearly mentally ill under any circumstances.

They voted for someone who was nuts and unqualified. IT will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in our history. Trump voters will be remembered for a very long time. How badly this ends is a question that still has to be answered.

And I am yet to meet one who regrets the time and money they wasted.

I'm sure there are such people but they must be few and far between.

fall back on "He tells it like it is". Because they have nothing else.

It's funny they would say this about a pathological liar.

Scary to think that is true, but I think there is a sizable contingent of those who just embrace ennui and weltschmerz.

Most of em, anyhow.

Thats how it works. Once the scammer has taken you for more than you can afford, you either have admit you were wrong and admit there is no more hope.. Or you block out reality and double down.

Most who voted for trump couldn't afford it to begin with. They arent about to stop doubling down now. They will maintain their righteousness up to and through nuclear explosions on the US mainland. No number of deaths or diminishing in US power, moral authority, nor ANY amount of suffering or depravity will change their course.

That is what we are facing as a nation. Our place in the world is precarious enough, but our external opponents are nothing compared to what we face within.

Trump's base is so goddamned stupid and invested in that asshole's personality, he could start WWIII and reduce global civilization to rubble, and they'd still worship him.

It's like the old bartender I met in Germany 35 years ago. He was convinced that Hitler was essentially a good, sane, and competent man, and that the underlings around him where the ones that led his country to the path of ruin and infamy.
