I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.

(9,350 posts)This was nothing more than a staged event. I am fairly certain that Pence thought at least one NFL player was going to take a knee today. How many gamea have gone by without at least one player taking a knee? Was this game televised?
This is an example of Trump and Pence trying to start a new culture war. As the aupposed memo said, or as someone who talked to Trump said, they are trying to put NFL players and the Democrats on one side and people who voted for him on the other side. They think it is an issue that Trump/Pence can ride to reelection. I do not think the idea will work.
