Trump insulting someone else is hardly news. It happens on a nearly daily basis. And the most recent lashing out against Senator Corker for his criticism of Trump is nothing more than par for the course. It's what he does against anyone and everyone who he sees as criticizing him or standing in his way.
Most of the time, like in Corker's case, it's primarily a matter of politics.
However, there have been a few times where it really has transcended the pale due to the exact nature and context of Trump's attack.
A few of the most glaring examples:
* When addressing Senator John McCain's time as a Prisoner of War in Vietnam, claiming that McCain was a "hero (only) because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."
* Criticizing Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the Gold Star parents of a Bronze Star recipient Humayan Khan, who was killed in action in Iraq. After the Khans gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention criticizing Trump's proposal to ban immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries, Trump lashed out at them and even falsely insinuated that Khizir had prohibited his wife Ghazala from speaking on stage due to his religious beliefs.
* Attacking the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, right after a June 2017 terrorist attack in London and libelously claiming that Khan had told residents the attack was no big deal.
* Attacking the Mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulin Cruz, in the aftermath of the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria to San Juan and the rest of Puerto Rico. After appealing for more aid, Trump bashed Cruz--who had worked feverishly on the ground assisting in the recovery effort--while sitting at his New Jersey golf club. Trump accused her of "poor leadership" and insinuated that she and other Puerto Rican officials were lazy.
But as bad as all of those were, if there's one instance where the optics of Trump's inappropriateness were so glaringly on display, it would have to be his campaign speech where he openly mocked Serge Kovaleski, a New York Times reporter with a disability who disputed Trump's claim that thousands of Muslims had supposedly cheered on the September 11th attacks from the shores of New Jersey:
But there has to be others, right? What others am I missing?
