(65,044 posts). . .i'd believe you! Except you have to stop at 36. Which, come to think of it, is about his emotional IQ.

(182,811 posts)The Bell Curve endorses prejudice by virtue of what it does not say. Nowhere does the book address why it investigates racial differences in IQ. By never spelling out a reason for reporting on these differences in the first place, the authors transmit an unspoken yet unequivocal conclusion: Race is a helpful indicator as to whether a person is likely to hold certain capabilities. Even if we assume the presented data trends are sound, the book leaves the reader on his or her own to deduce how to best put these insights to use. The net effect is to tacitly condone the prejudgment of individuals based on race.

(25,816 posts)of smarts, but mine was 142 in 7th grade. And I became a bricklayer.

(5,810 posts)But that was never mentioned by any of them. Really, really smart people dont have to tell you they are smart. You just know it by talking to them.
tRump reveals his LACK of high intelligence every time he opens his anus shaped mouth.
I've never had a Nobel prize winner tell me their IQ. Just saying

(90,692 posts)...genuinely accomplished human beings. It would never have occurred to any of those 6 Democrats to mention their IQ scores. Their lives, careers, everything about them bespeaks high intellect; not to mention a respect for the rest of humanity and desire to make the world better, which cannot be measured on any test.
Trump is a champion manipulator and bullshit artist (thank you Fareed Zakaria for that last descriptor). He was born rich. He's failed again and again. He has one or more personality disorders. He's a pathological liar. He has ratlike cunning. Most of his "gifts" are negative.
Most of his self-praise is pulled out of his ass, but sometimes there is a glimmer of truth. He may have been tested for academic placement, or to see if there was a non-emotional reason for poor school performance, or maybe as part of a package of tests to see why he was such a shit as a kid. We have no way of knowing. An IQ score of 132 is not beyond the realm of possibility, and maybe the school counselor told him to try to motivate him.
But what we are dealing with NOW is deep pathology, and likely dementia, in a POTUS. We have to get him out of there.

(41,963 posts)And hey, I'm smart, but I'm far from the smartest person I know.
As I said elsewhere, he's not smart. He's cunning. Very different things.

As someone who works with intellectually disabled (IQ below 70) persons, I'd guesstimate Trump is around 85-90.

I got a 133, so I guess I'm smarter than dumpf even while stoned.
The results said I was in the top something or other percentile, I think they need to rethink that, there are a lot more people at that level than they realize, this isn't the fifties or sixties anymore.
I think of my score as normal for the times today.

(101,319 posts)This is a man who has to have his name inserted in important security briefings to keep him interested. Who demands short briefings with pictures. Who rambles in the middle of his speeches, with awful grammar. Who has a very restricted vocabulary. Who seems surprised by basic political facts such as Lincoln being a Republican. Everything points to him having low intelligence, or at least a low inclination to apply himself to anything intellectually challenging.

(11,686 posts)one point below average and I am smarter than trump. I do not think IQ has much to do with everyday life. It is common sense that gets us through. Most of the people in my family and some friends are geniuses ( particularly my brother ) and they all think the same thing about common sense verses IQ. Trump has NO common sense. I could lead this country better with my good common sense.
