Just stop

This is nothing to joke about. It’s pathetic. It batshit crazy. It’s horrifying.
This guy is completely insane and has the power to destroy the entire world by uttering a couple of words. He doesn’t have to ask permission or tell anyone before he does it.

Just because he told them, no reason has to be given, on his command, the military will launch every nuclear missile we have and destroy the Earth.

Keep that in mind as you continue to make jokes.

The time for memes and “caption this” and making IQ jokes has passed. It’s cathartic and funny to make jokes about the things he says and does, I get it.
That time has passed. Now he is dropping regular insinuations of attacking NK to provoke NK to doing something stupid to give himself a reason to start a war with NK.
It’s WWIII and we’re all dead.

When need start taking this man’s insanity serious and start mobilizing and protesting...not in the hundreds or thousands but in the hundreds of thousands, nationwide.
We need to put unrelenting pressure on Congress to act. We need to leverage ever legal means at our disposal to get this fucking moron out of office. The time for jokes and normalizing this moron have long passed.

I’m pleading for people to start taking this as serious as it is.
We don’t have the luxury to be depressed, to hide in a hole and joke about it to avoid the issue anymore.

I’m begging. Pleading. We need to be actively engaged. Not as individuals but as groups. Large groups. Rallies so large that the message is heard loud and clear.

I’m not saying I have that power, I’m just one person...begging for answers and help and that help is not found in the shade being thrown on him from Twitter account.

The great thing about satire is that it criticizes, examines, dissects and mobilizes while yet creating a little light of hmor in an otherwise dark world.

You would do well to learn that before again pretending to be wise or clever enough to instruct us on what we may or may not laugh at.

Launching a nuclear missile in a fit of anger would lead to immediate impeachment. Seriously. It would be 100-0. His legacy would be over immediately. And he knows that would be the result.

He's a madman, that's for sure. But to him, reputation is everything. And he's not going to bring an end to his presidency by launching a nuke and forever branding himself as the worst president in US history.

I don’t doubt that if the option were available to them that his action to launch an attack would result in his impeachment but I don’t think that would be possible.

An nuclear missile launch would lead to full blown nuclear war with China and when everyone starts chucking nuclear missiles at each other its over.

Even in a conventional conflict, China has a million more people in their active duty military than we do and NK has roughly the same size military force as us.

Yes, if we did that it would start a shooting war with China, in their eyes they would have little choice but to side with NK and respond in kind.

Tue Oct 10, 2017, 05:11 PM

Or been associated with the military in your life?
It’s not like that. It doesn’t work that way. They do not question the legality of those orders, it’s all based on a code once the order is given. It can go, and likely would go in a emergency or sudden situation, from NCA -National Command Authority - (president) to SAC - Strategic Command - 4-Star General in charge of our missile forces, in the form of a code being carried in the “football” If they are given the authorization code that authenticates that it is the president giving the order, from that point the SAC has their code and that sets in motion a process that takes place in just minutes.

There is no debate from the silo if it’s lawful or not. As long as the two people in the silo agree that the launch code they received is authentic based on the validation code they have in hand than they turn their keys and the missle is free.
It’s not a movie. This is real life and in real life these people have only minutes to react and their only concern is the validity of the codes, not why.

And I do not disagree with you.

But I think it is a thin line to walk.

We all feel powerless, and many of us are worn down.

I have lost family and friends because of this guy, and we are doing our best to get the message out. We have fought with friends and relatives over this, we have written letters, and it has sapped our energy, so sometimes all we have left is our humor, until we heal again for the next fight.

I do understand where you are coming from though. You are correct in what you say...but because people make jokes does not mean that we don't know that the situation is grim.

For many reasons:

1. It makes us feel better by relieving tension.

2. dolt45 hates being mocked. The more we mock him, the better.

3. We make jokes because we can. We all see the day when there will be no more jokes to make. Nobody is making jokes about Newtown or the Las Vegas massacres because there are none to make.

Personally, I love the jokes, gifs, and jpgs.

have no idea how organize such protests. I am perfectly ready to join in but I have no way to get to Washington or New York . I sadly am looking for someone or some group to do this for me. I like others can't take off work or travel any significant distance but local protests on the weekend across the country may help those like myself get active.

A coordinated national protest, we have already done it but we need to up our game. We need to dwarf the Women’s Day March but more than that we need unending and unrelenting calls and emails and National day of action in which we we strike for a day...a Friday or better, a Monday, and it can be a simple as people taking a legit vacation day if they have to and can, but using that day as part of that weekend protest, so you have hundreds of thousands, if not millions, across the country, protesting for three days in a row and then the next weekend and then the next.
I know it’s a big ask of people and I don’t honestly think people are committed enough to take that level of action. People are so jaded and disconnected from things that getting that kind of participation in the US is probably impossible.

I watch nations like Taiwan or Spain and many others muster hundreds of thousands and transportation strikes that go for days or weeks, until politicians have to listen to them. While individuals have that drive, We just don’t have people that are enough to protest like that.

We all go through hours deep in despair. We feel like passengers in a vehicle speeding and swerving toward a cliff. We look at the driver and see the devil himself grinning like a madman at the horror he is causing.

We have ALL felt like that since late Nov 8, 2016. It keeps getting worse and worse, hearing lies from those in charge while we look at a much different reality. It's multiple daily doses of tension, outrage, and complete madness.

If children losing health care, more people dying from drug overdoses and bullets, and collapse of our basic government services weren't enough, now we have the lead madman threatening nuclear war. We are panicked and tension levels go further upwards every passing day.

We can't stop it. We can't slow it down. We can't turn the volume down. It's like a teen horror flick where someone gets stuck on a carnival ride gone haywire.

We can't stop it. So we find ways to diffuse the tension. Please find your way and find a little calmness. Your wellbeing depends on it.
