Former RNC chair Steele: Insanity that has engulfed Trump administration threatens GOP

“(The other Republicans in Congress) have this inordinate fear of a very small portion of the Republican base,” Steele said. “In my estimate, they are giving life to an anti-Republican movement within the party and it is pathetic.”

Steele’s commentary comes after the president’s former chief strategist, Steve Bannon, declared war on Republicans who speak out against the administration and called for Corker’s resignation on Monday.

“(Supporters of the White House) are going to develop their hit list. They are going to come after certain members who aren’t loyal to the president,” Steele said. “Well, loyalty is not blind and loyalty is earned. The president has not earned the loyalty of the members.”

It's far too late to give us the "Donald? Never heard of him" routine, Mr. Steele. If you think Trump isn't the epitome of Republicanism, you should really check in with the office more often.

I doubt bannon or any of the assholes believe any of their own bullshit. Bannon has his patented mantra about the working man, he couldn't give two shits about the working man.

Fragmented, misguided and treacherous.

The ignorant racists are in a battle to the death with the money-grubbing racists.

Good time to be a Democrat. Let's not let internal strife destroy us in the same manner.

him and ignored him. It made it so clear that RNC head as well as republican presidents are just patsies for the rich who control all policy. Trump they control because he cares not what policy is and just made promises to get elected. Somehow it just became so clear the faces of republican leadership are not the leaders during Steele's reign. That power belongs elsewhere. That it was all politics all the time. That their leaders are just politics at least the faces we see.

Here are some quotes from "reasonable" Republicans:

John Boehner on Obama's agenda: “We're going to do everything — and I mean everything we can do — to kill it, stop it, slow it down, whatever we can."

Mitch McConnell: "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

And to think that President Obama tried to work with these clowns.

Then you have the railroading of Merrick Garland. The North Carolina GOP trying to neuter the office of governor when Roy Cooper won. All kinds of dirtiness. Bannon is just a more obviously vulgar and extreme version of your typical Republican politician. In some respects I think it is easier to deal with somebody like Bannon or Trump because they don't get as much respect from the media as the "reasonable" Republicans get.
