It's pathetic that the idiotic Twitter troll needs somebody running behind him to clean up his verbal diarrhea.

I was able to get some plastic tarpaulin and roofing nails, and put in for some
aid but there's always some bullshit why they can't help. I had to do most of my home repair other than the roof, which is all I received from my insurance crooks!

I was living in an apartment complex in Gainesville. They put a new roof on my section. Tore the roof off the first day and tarped it. Each tarp said FEMA in huge letters.

you know, to make way for the tax cuts. Don't worry, it will trickle down all over Puerto Rico eventually as wealthy bastards go there for vacation or something.

He's a huge Drumpf guy and has said that getting supplies distributed and responding to emergencies isn't their job. He's as big an ass as Drumpf and part of the huge problem on the island. Hopefully the woman above is in a high position where she can alleviate some of the suffering he and his boss are deliberately causing.

“Brock” Long — the guy who filtered out the San Juan mayor — has botched one disaster response after another. He was head of Alabama’s EMA during Deepwater Horizon and Hurricane Katrina.

He’s another private-sector transplant into a top federal position.

The new DHS nominee sounds like an intelligent, reasonable, adult administrator.

Either Trump’s minions will antagonize her to the point she walks out, or she’ll be fired by Trump himself.

Yesterday, on NPR, the mayor of San Juan said that people are so desperate for food and water that many are eating roots and drinking rain water.

When asked for her reaction to what Drumpf has said about her, she answered:
"I don't give a shit!" (NPR bleeped out "shit&quot

17. As long as the head of FEMA is a political appointee and not a Civil Servant professional ...

...such as, for instance, a civil engineer, it will be a political football. Let me lay a little history on you, just off the top of my head. If I get a few things wrong, at least I am trying to get the substance right.

Two major earthquakes in California, the Northridge Quake and the one up in San Francisco/Santa Cruz (Loma Prieta?) both of which did such terrible damage, had two vastly different FEMA responses. Let's just say Bill Clinton's administration took FEMA's role seriously (Northridge) and the Republican before him probably went for benign neglect. FEMA was professionalized under Clinton's administration, and they responded professionally.

Then Dubya was "elected," and Heckuvajob Brownie was appointed to head FEMA. You know the rest. A couple of years after Katrina, I read that someone did a series of interviews with long-time civil service employees and some of them actually wept over their agency's poor response to Hurricane Katrina under Brown and Bush.

Obama. Eight blessed years of respite from GOP malignancy. FEMA was restored.

Trump. And here we are today. Monsters are in charge of the Federal government. Monsters.
