But she is a private citizen!
It smells like fear...

They know the facts of the election better than any of us because they engineered the outcome of the election.
Guilty actors with guilty knowledge just can't let go of 2016.

(1,301 posts)In the Democratic Party, they will continue to attack the Clintons. There is currently a void when it comes to extreme clout held by an individual or individuals like the Clintons in the party. That can be seen as a good or bad thing by Democrats. For Republicans it has left them looking. Until they find what they are looking for they will just keep going with the Clintons. Clinton=Democratic Party.

(22,976 posts)The entire Benghazi flap is a signal example of how effectively they manufactured and stoked irrational rage against Hillary Clinton. Then there's the whole phony Obama-birth-certificate business.
Without a bogeyman, right-wing ideology would fizzle out. It demands "enemies" to function and lumber forward. And right now, Hillary (private citizen) and Obama (private citizen) are familiar and still worth some mileage in the RW narrative.
She isn't a person at this point, just a meme to attach their fear and hatred to, used by the rubes' handlers whenever they want without any need to attach the attack to reality. Benghazi and emails are sub-memes. They use Obama too but Hillary draws special hatred, mostly no doubt because she is a woman who had the audacity to get things done.

(22,976 posts)Im betting that, if you scanned a right-wingers brain (I know, right?), every time the name Hillary was spoken, that little mini-mite of a cortex would light up like a 4th of July sparkler.

(41,990 posts)She's powerful and she's right and they are desperate to break her in fact or in fantasy.
If we could keep our shit together and rally behind her, not to make her run again but to show they can't break us either, she could be the symbol for all they cannot do to us.
