There are tons of examples. I'm far from the only one who noticed.

Just google Trumpolini.

It was hard to listen to Trump’s inaugural address without hearing some not-so-faint echoes of fascism.

The most obvious was his invocation of “America First” as the “new vision” that “will govern our land.” But it’s not a new vision or a new name. In fact, “America First” was the name of the isolationist and anti-Semitic organization in the 1930s that wanted to accommodate Nazi Germany.

But there were other echoes as well….

Like 20th century fascists, he extolled the nation’s “glorious destiny.” He saluted “the great men and women of our military and law enforcement.”

- Extreme nationalism, aka "America First" aka "American Exceptionalism"
- Supreme leader mentality
- Loyalty above all else

that specifically asks: Can we call Trump a fascist now?

There's a list of what would constitute a fascist regime. It's not the only list; I've read others. But the point is we've allowed an Administration to take root which is in opposition to a Democratic Republic. Republicans are loathe to admit that what Trump stands for is an extension of what they've become: authoritarian, nationalistic bullies pressing those Bibles to their withered hearts while wrapping themselves in the American flag.

The behavior and policies are anti-democratic, treacherous, even treasonous.

It's time to call this circus out for what it is: despicable, unAmerican, fascist.
